  • Visit the srd.dsd.gov.za website and locate the green bar labeled “click here to lodge an appeal or check appeal status”.
  • Enter your ID Number and the phone number used during your application submission. Click on “send pin”.
  • Enter the pin sent to your phone and click “submit” to authenticate your identity.

Once authenticated, prepare for the appeal by following these steps:

  • Review the provided list of reasons why your application was declined. This will help you understand the grounds for your appeal.
  • Collect any necessary supporting documents such as proof of unemployment or bank statements to strengthen your appeal.

Various Reasons Your SRD SASSA Appeal Was Declined

  • Referred SAFPS: Applicants registered as perpetrators of fraud by the South African Fraud Prevention Services will not qualify for the grant.
